Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday in order to take stock of the situation in cyclone-hit areas and other parts of north coastal Andhra. After landing at Visakhapatnam Airport, PM inspected the facility extensively damaged by cyclonic storm Hudhud on Sunday. Officials briefed him about the damages.
Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Ashok Gajapati Raju received him at the airport. There is a small change in Modi's Vizag tour schedule.He cancelled aerial survey and has decided to survey the damage done by cyclone by taking to road.
