So apparently there's a Men's International Day as well. It's on 19 November and was first started in 1999.
According to the Wikipedia entry for this page, the event is about, "highlighting discrimination against men and boys and to celebrate their achievements and contributions, in particular for their contributions to community, family, marriage, and child care." Ok then.
Now if you've just swallowed that bit of information, and are likely racking your brains to remember what kind of discrimination men could possibly face in the world, you can check out the video on top by a deodorant brand "He". The makers of "He" decided to come up with an anthem titled "#ShowMenSomeLove," (yes they have a hashtag in the title) and lists out how everything has been so unfair to men since time immemorial. Oh and they want you to wear blue on International Men's Day. Because you know real men wear blue. Throw away those salmon-coloured t-shirts you feminine metrosexuals.
The list of discriminations against men highlighted in the video includes: Total silence on Men's International Day, ummm maybe because it's a stupid idea in the first place. Men don't get credit for working in office and then being made to clean their homes on the weekend.
Men are the ones who always have to fix the bathrooms, men are made to change diapers in the middle of the night (even though those damned women are producing the babies) and that women will expect men to remember every important day of the relationship such as the first kiss. And the List Goes On.
