The Windows 10 Beta Store is getting updated with a couple of new features and some performance tweaks.
The Beta Store is Microsoft’s test platform for the Windows Store that will be part of Windows 10. The new app features a redesigned interface, a unified Movies TV and Music store, and more robust features compared to its Windows 8 counterpart.
And the Beta Store just got a bit better today with a small update that’s rolling out to Insiders on the latest preview version of Windows 10, 10074. The updates brings some noticeable performance improvements – at least on some machines- as well as a new Downloads icon on the main page. Also of note is the toggle in the Settings page that allows users to turn automatic app updates on and off.
The Windows Store will be a very important part of Windows 10 as through Microsoft will be updating integral pieces of the operating system such as the new Edge browser. As such it’s good to see Microsoft continue to refine and improve its design as we’re getting closer and closer to the launch window of the new OS.
