There is no doubt that the newest iteration of the iPhone is in the making. There has been numerous leaks regarding the devices hardware, such as a recent image of its PCB board that supports the rumor of a larger, 5.5-inch device, as well as a report that suggests the device is currently being manufactured. If these new images of the device in the retail box are to be legitimate, the iPhone 6 may be announced on September 9, as previously speculated.
Further, the box shows what looks like the newest version of iOS, which will be released sometime this fall. However, Marc Flores states that due to this source being so new, he's not "100% [confident] that these photos are authentic," but adds that "after having checked EXIF data, photo manipulation and doing a little background check on our source, there's no reason for us to believe that these are fakes."
Whether these images are real or not, they still add up to what we've seen previously. Although Apple will not confirm the legitimacy of these images, we will know for sure if they're real when the device is expected to be unveiled later this year.
