Stage set for 'Ayuta Chandi Maha Homam'


The arrangements have been going on in full swing for telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's Maha Ayuta Chandi Yagam which will be held for five days from December 23 to 27. KCR has invited several prominent leaders from across the country. Now the stage has set for 'Chaturveda Swaahaakara Purassara Maharudra Purascharana Sahita Ayuta Chandi Maha Homam'. Yaga Sathali is spread in 25 acres and a separate 15 acres were allotted for parking.

Yaga Sthali is located at the farm house of KCR on the outskirts of this village in Jagdevpur mandal of Medak district. An idol of Maha Chandi would be installed in the middle. More than 100 homa gundams are being established to perform the Chandi Yagam. Security agencies have already taken the whole area in to their control.According to estimates, the Yagam would cost around Rs 3 crore. It is for the second time that Ayuta Maha Chandi Yagam is being performed in South India. Earlier, the Sringeri Peetham conducted the yagam in 2011. The ceremony planned as a thanksgiving gesture to Goddess Chandi for granting separate Telangana state
