The mini Mahanadu held Kurnool on Monday adopted resolutions urging the State government to take up Gundrevula, Siddheswaram and Vedavathi projects in the district and give a fillip to irrigation and industries.
The MLAs and persons in charge of constituencies proposed a couple of resolutions each at the mini Mahanadu at VJR Convention Centre at Dinnedevarapadu. Besides making a demand to confer Bharat Ratna on TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao, the speakers targeted YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy asserted that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao cannot complete any irrigation project taken up illegally and flayed Telangana Minister Harish Rao's remarks. The AP government would start work on Gundrevula project by discussing with its Karnataka counterpart, Mr. Krishnamurthy said.
Advising party leaders to be ally with BJP, the Deputy Chief Minister hoped the Centre would grant special funds for developing the State, if not special category status. Telangana would also be hit if RDS was not completed, he added. N. Chandrababu Naidu was preferred as the Chief Minister by 67 per cent of population as per CMS survey, he said.
