Telangana government has put aside its differences with Andhra Pradesh and acted generously by donating 18 crores worth of electrical equipment to the affected North Andhra region. Cyclone Hudhud has devastated Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts beyond imagination. Power and communication sectors are badly affected. Keeping this in view, 18 crores worth of electrical equipment including 530 transformers, 28,500 electric poles and 900 kms cables have been sent by T-government.
Telangana chief minister KCR has asked his cabinet secretary Rajeev Sharma to stay in touch with AP CS. A team of five senior IAS officers have also reached Visakhapatnam to monitor the situation personally.
As power restoration in the affected region is to be done on a priority basis, Telangana government's response has gained significance. The equipment will reach the affected region by tomorrow. KCR has also said that his government is ready to help in all ways.
