A book named 'Facts of Ayodhya Episode' claims Hindu's warrior Lord Rama's birthplace is in Pakistan. It says Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is not Lord Rama's birthplace and argues that it was nowhere mentioned in the Vedas or the Puranas. The book was written by assistant general of All India Muslim Personal Law Board(AIMPLB) Abdul Rahim Quraishi
In his book Abdul Rahim Qureshi claimed that Lord Rama was born in Pakistan and also expressed doubts about his birth in Treta Yuga. He also quoted former Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official Jassu Ram's statements that Lord Rama was born in a town called Rahman Dheri of Dera Ismail Khan District in Pakistan. He added that the region of Sapta Sindhu, whose emperor was King Dashratha father of Rama, was actually the land extending from Haryana and Punjab, through Pakistan and up to the eastern fringes of Afghanistan
Qureshi has raised this new controversy when he stated that the Britishers have seeded Ayodhya issue to break religious harmony in India. The writer also says that if the present Ayodhya was the birthplace of Ram, it would have been mentioned in Ramayana of Tulsidas, who penned the epic in 1574 CE in Ayodhya.
