The two states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana seems to have obsession for Singapore. While Naidu has been echoing Singapore-model capital for AP since elections, his counterpart KCR too joined the bandwagon and the latter even paid a long-trip to Singapore and observed several things. Amid this, Singapore former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, who is on his five-day visit to India, met both Chandra Babu Naidu and KCR on Monday in Hyderabad.
In meeting with Mr Chok, Naidu focused on building of new capital, developing infrastructure on par with Singapore and sought his help. Naidu also invited Singapore-companies to invest in AP and he assured them of full cooperation. Meanwhile, KCR and Mr Chok discussed about upcoming projects, investments in the new state of Telangana. Chok was accompanied by a team of delegates and KCR was accompanied by his ministers Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Mohammad Ali.
Mr Chok, who holds honorary title Emeritus Senior Minister, landed in India on Sep 7 will stay in India up to Sep 11. As part of the schedule, he will be meeting PM Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, BJP Chief Amit Shah, BJP senior leader LK Advani, ex PM Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Naidu and KCR were the only two Chief Ministers who got the opportunity to discuss with Chok. Needless to say that Singapore 'touch' is in offing for AP, T.
