Even as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid a foundation stone for the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana government has launched an equally ambitious project of constructing 60,000 two-bedroom flats in 8 months, today.
After attending the Amaravati ceremony, the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao flew to Suryapet to lay a foundation stone for 900 flats at Gollaguda in the town. He said the ministers have laid foundation stones for 60,000 2 bhk flats across Telangana. KCR said the houses would be completed within eight months and assured that the houses would stand for at least two generations.
He announced that Suryapet will be district headquarter by March next year and necessary facilities would be created for the town.
