Finally, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has got an office to function from. Nearly four months after he assumed charge as CM for the truncated state, Naidu stepped into his official chamber on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dasami amid vedic mantras. Naidu has formally moved into his official chamber located in 8th floor, L Block of AP Secretariat in Hyderabad on Friday. Government has shell out Rs 20 Crore for the renovation of the office. At first, south H block in the Secretariart was renovated for AP CM but he didn't choose it due to "Vaasthu complaints".
Now in the 8th floor of L Block, a spacious bullet-proofed chamber was readied for Chandrababu besides a conference hall, a meeting hall for the Cabinet, visitors' lounge and chambers of his principal secretaries and secretaries were built on the 8th floor. A new chamber was arranged on the 7th floor in the same L Block.
However, all this will only be a make-shift arrangement till new Secretariat is built in AP's new capital Vijayawada. It will take nearly three years. Naidu had been working from his make-do office in Lake View Guest House for the past four months.
