After 17 months of long running, Supreme Court given its verdict today on IPL Spot fixing. BCCI President N Srinivasan's nephew Gurunath Meniappan and Rajasthan Royal Co-Owner Raj Kundra found guilty in this case. Court also blamed BCCI for its irresponsibility towards IPL organization.
Earlier, the Supreme Court broke for the winter break after hearing the final arguments on the corruption case as the Special Bench, comprising of Justice TS Thakur and FM Kalifullah will seal the fate of the cash rich tournament that can also act as an deterrent for the times to come.
Social activist Naresh Makani had filed a complaint in May 2013 against BCCI and others alleging that all the matches of Indian Premier League in 2013 were "fixed" and the franchise owners were also involved in it.
