An AP MP, who is believed to be a YSR Congress Leader, allegedly assaulted an Air India station manager at Tirupati airport on Thursday for not allowing him and his relatives to get on a flight as the boarding has already been closed.
The so-called MP who was accompanied by some of his relatives reached Tirupati airport on Thursday just before 25 minutes before the departure of the flight AI 541 leaving for New Delhi via Hyderabad. The MP asked the Station Manager to allow him and his relatives to board the flight. After the Station Manager denied accommodation, The VVIP lost his cool and slapped him.
Even though the Airline asked the Station Manager to file a complaint against the MP for his misbehavior, There was no such development till Thursday midnight. There were reports of MP pacified the Station Manager and hence there is no complaint. As per the norms, Boarding Counters of Domestic Flights close 45 minutes before the departure time.
