In what is seen as a major security lapse at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, a drunk passenger (a Briton), had created ruckus on Saturday (today) morning by crossing emergency doors, running on the runway and even tried to get onto another flight which was open for boarding.
The passenger was consuming alcohol while waiting for his connecting flight in T3 Lounge. He suddenly pressed a fire alarm which opened emergency exit doors and thus he ran away on runway and about to board a flight where he actually got caught. Reportedly, the passenger broke emergency glass, hurt himself and even reportedly took off his shirt while running. However, CISF claimed otherwise and denied that he reached the line of boarding of aircraft and said he was caught before boarding area.
Meanwhile, the crazy passenger was allowed to leave after he came out of inebriate state. Shockingly, no case or complaint was registered against him albeit the matter has been informed to embassy officials.
