MP Kavitha involvement in the Singareni job scam

TRS MP Kavitha, daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, is facing serious allegations of her involvement in the Singareni recruitment scam.

OU JAC chairman Manavata Roy alleged that the TRS MP, who is also leader of Singareni workers, was involved in the scam and demanded a CBI probe to unravel the truth. Students of Osmania University and Congress leaders have alleged that two members each from 70 families were selected as they shared same surname.

A case in point is Bandi surname. About 300 candidates share “Bandi” surname. Similarly, 231 candidates with family name of “Bandari”, another 298 carry the family name of “Thota”, 165 candidates have “Pothu” as their family name while 149 have “Uppu” as the family name. After creation of new state, the Telangana State government conducted the test for 470 posts of junior assistants in the Collieries. About 83,000 candidates took the test on October 10.

Meanwhile the reports stated that vigilance department had conducted a probe into the charges and come out with a detailed report. The probe revealed that the candidates do not belong to same family, caste or district. It has come to light that in some cases candidates have same surname but father is different and their background is different.

The CMD of Singareni Sridhar has clarified that the JNTU conducted the examinations in a fair and transparent manner.
