Guinness Record Holder Mastan Babu went Missed


The Guinness Book of World Record holder Malli Mastan Babu is missing. Popular mountaineer Mastan Babu, who has gone for trekking in Chile, is missing for the last 48 hours and there is no communication from him to his family members, relatives. Worried Mastan Babu's relatives have taken up this issue with Indian Embassy officials in Chile and Indian Embassy authorities have initiated steps to find the whereabouts of Mastan Babu.

40-year-old Malli Mastan Babu hails from Nellore of Andhra Pradesh. Masan belongs to agricultural family. He holds the Guinness World record for having climbed the Seven Summits of the world in just 172 days in 2006 including Vinson Massif peak (4,887 meters) in Antarctica which is one of the toughest challenges due to the extreme cold. The others include Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Koscuiszko, Mount Everest, Elbrus, Denali, and Carstensz Pyramid. He had climbed the Huascaran (6,768 meters) in Peru, Sajama (6,542 meters) in Bolivia, Chimborazo (6,310 meters) in Ecuador and Ojos Del Salado (6,800 meters) in Chile.

Mastan Babu is a scholar. He is graduated in Electrical Engineering from Jamshedpur's National Institute of Technology, and postgraduate Master of Technology in Electronics by Kharagpur's Indian Institute of Technology, and Post Graduate Diploma in Management by Calcutta's Indian Institute of Management.
