Telangana Congress leader and party fire brand DK Aruna has thrown fresh challenge to Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on her demand to create Gadwal, from where she elected MLA, as new district. She quit the MLA post for new district and dared the chief minister to come out with a statement on his opposition to the formation of Gadwal as new district.
Aruna said she has been demanding KCR to accept the demand for new district but fell on deaf ears for the last one year. She forwarded several memoranda to CM and also conducted dharna and agitations in her native Mahbubnagar district.
The Congress leader said her constituency people were also demanding Gadwal as new district. She is quitting the MLA post owing moral responsibility for not fulfilling the aspiration of people. Interestingly, Aruna forwarded her resignation letter to Chief minister only. As per the procedure, the legislator must submit resignation to Assembly Speaker for the approval.
