TPCC Chief Begins Efforts To Prevent Defections

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who had returned from the US in the early hours of Friday, had intensified efforts to prevent further defections in the Telangana Congress party.

Speaking to media persons on Friday, TPCC Vice-President Dr. Mallu Ravi confirmed that Uttam called up everyone who has been reported to join TRS by a section of media. He said Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy met Uttam at his residence and hold talks for over an hour. Similarly, the TPCC chief also spoke to former MP G. Vivek and former minister G. Vinod.

He also called up Miryalaguda MLA Bhaskar. He said talks were still on and Uttam Kumar Reddy has been trying to avert further defections. However, Ravi also blamed a section of media and accused it of exaggerating news related to defections.
