Telangana Government is leaving no stone unturned to lower the damage as much as possible after MET Department forecasting heavy rains for two more days. The support of Indian Army has been sought to take part in the rescue operations. Colonel Vashist and his Team will be on the field from Saturday. Municipal Minister K Taraka Rama Rao thanked Army Personnel for their efforts and support in the need of the hour. He also informs GHMC Mayor, Commissioner, Officials & Staff were at work along with him.
KTR informed Rs 20,000 crore is required to repair the roads, drainage system and potholes. 'Our focus would be on it soon after the completion of rescue and relief works. Saying that total picture will be changed overnight will be exaggeration. We could provide temporary relief for now. Within one-and-a-half year, We would be completing all the works by taking it as a challenge,' he informs.
