Saina Nehwal who is on cloud nine after becoming the first Indian woman shuttler to attain a World No.1 Position gives the credit for her success to her Coach Vimal who lost a lot of weight in the process of training her. She says even the inputs of Badminton Legend Prakash Padukone have helped her a lot.
The Hyderabadi couldn't believe she is No.1 Today as she was at World No.9 position last year. A lot of things changed in a span of just 7 months. "It's a great day for me. It's a big day. It's an awesome day. I am the first woman from India to become World No. 1. Wow!," she reacted, apart from stating her focus will be on game not the numbers.
Every time she achieves a big feat, Saina Nehwal picks up the phone to share the happiness with her parents. But, She couldn't reach out to her father after learning about No.1 position as he was floored with congratulatory calls. Saina claims her parents are very simple people and they are like 'Beta, Did You Have Food?'. The Ace Shuttler says they always believe she can achieve much more feats in her career even though they don't show it before her.
