Citing that AP Chief Minister failed to fulfill poll promises and rise of corruption under his rule, YSR Congress Chief Jagan Mohan commented that Chandrababu Naidu must be slapped with 'Chappals'. TDP Supremo responded on the objectionable remarks against him: 'Living in a Democratic country, I should be prepared to face criticism from criminals, financial terrorists and those who were prime accused in 13 cases. The manner in which he spoke is very painful.
Where were we going? Even after the death of Paritala Ravi, I restrained from using harsh language against YSR in Assembly. That's the way I conducted myself! Situations will be no different if criminals, greedy people and those involved in financial crimes foray into politics'. TDP Supremo claimed he is still active in politics inspite of the 60-plus age only because of the feeling that he is working hard for the people. 'My food intake is very less & I sleep on a normal bed, still I'm able to sleep due to the clean track record I have,' he told.
Responding on YCP & Congress accusing AP Govt of Double Standards approach on Special Status, CBN explained: 'Sentiment & Reality are quite different. Special Status will be beneficial if granted. But, One should also consider the position of States accorded with Special Status. We are continuing alliance with BJP for developing AP with the help of Centre. Had if Congress done justice to AP, I wouldn't be in a position to beg Today. Bifurcation is the conspiracy of Congress, KCR & Jagan. KCR has openly stated that he would merge his party if Statehood was granted'.
Chandrababu said Farmers of AP Capital offered 34,000 acres keeping faith in him. He stated there is necessity to promote the design provided by Singapore for the World Class Capital. He also faulted the baseless allegations of YSR Congress on the land dealings in Amaravati.
