After massive strike resorted by Telangana junior doctors in Hyderabad, now AP is set to witness a massive indefinite strike kicked off by the Andhra Pradesh junior doctors from Saturday which followed the failure of talks between the state’s health Minister Kamineni and medical students.
The junior doctors have determined to launch the strike insisting the government to abolish the one year compulsory rural apprenticeship which they feel unnecessary. They failed to convince the minister over their demands as he said the govt would follow the instructions recently given by the high court on the strike of Telangana junior doctors.
The minister also assured the doctors of discussing the issue with the CM Chandra Babu once they receive the copy of the high court’s verdict. But however, the junior doctors are adamant over their demands and made it clear they would launch an indefinite strike.
