Many political experts and intellectuals have warned during the Telangana agitation that the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh is surely going to cause a disparity. They also mentioned that Telangana state will be in the losing end. However, the political groups didn't bother and went ahead with their plans.
Now, the smaller state of Andhra Pradesh is gaining the benefits and they look set for becoming the richest state in India by the year 2030. The foundation for that is laid by the project 'Vision 2020' envisioned by the Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu. During his earlier tenure as CM, many foreign investments were brought in and IT industry saw a big boom.
But Naidu missed ten years of tenure ie from 2004 to 2014. So, that vision has now extended for ten years and it has gone to 2030. The only difference is he is focusing on Andhra Pradesh. Already, the internet giant Google is being set up in Vizag. Sources say Naidu is working some equations with Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft as well. Many plans are on to make AP richest state in 2030 and whether that mark is reached or not, how much ever is achieved will be a significant growth.
