Flash: Maharashtra going into Coalition

Counting of votes polled in the Maharashtra assembly elections on 15 October started early morning across the state's 36 districts. In a total 288 seats BJP leading with huge margin.

Ass per latest reports BJP is near 110 seats and its former alliance Shiv Sena is around 65-70 seats. The Raj Thackeray-led MNS had a dismal outing, leading in seven seats, down from the 13 seats it won in the 2009 polls. Seems no party appearing to be in a position to reach the magic figure of 145 seats needed to form the government, its pretty clear that BJP needs alliance with any of the party. From latest reports its came to knaow that BJP and Shivsena are int alks to form coalition government.

On the other end Congress party completely lost Maharastra in along with Haryana with huge margin. THe party lost its charm completely when compare with its alliance NCP. Almost 50 seats change when compare with last elections.

Maharastra Total saets -  288

Shiv Sena - 65
Congress - 50
NCP- 43
Others - 18

Haryana Total seats - 90

BJP  - 48
