How Did Chota Rajan Get His Passport?


It is known from the CBI initial interrogation that the passport Chota Rajan is carrying is issued from Mandya District of Karnataka in 2003. The address and name on the passport are found to be fake. He was booked under Passport Act of 1967.

CBI is marshalling the teams to find out whether the fake passport is issued by bribing the regional passport officials or did Chota Rajan exploited the loopholes of the issuing authority to get it.Rajan was arrested by Indonesian police in Bali through a tip-off given by Australian police who disclosed that Chota Rajan is staying in Sydney under another identity as Mohan Kumar. The moment he took off from Sydney, the police alerted the Interpol and the Bali police officials about his landing.

The 55 year old fugitive gangster who is evading police since 27 years had arrived in Delhi on 6th November on a special Air India flight shrouded in tight security. As he was suffering from kidney problems he underwent dialysis and later sent to CBI headquarters.
