Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj is meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi within hours of of reports of detention of Masood Azhar, the chief of terror group Jaish-e Mohammad which is behind the attack on Pathankot air base. The agenda -- the foreign-secretary level talks with Pakistan that were scheduled to be held within two days.
"We have not received official word on detention of Masood Azhar. A decision will be taken after that meeting," the minister said.
India has said that unless Pakistan takes strong against those responsible for the attack, the Foreign Secretary level talks could not go ahead. Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif for prompt and decisive action on the basis of specific evidence.
Mr Sharif had set up a committee of his top intelligence, army and government officers to investigate India's allegations.
