Sri Surya Peetham head Sri Krishna Yaji on Thursday advised parents to guide their children on the path of dharma and help them understand the greatness of our country and its rich traditions and culture. “The Hindu dharma is being lauded by the whole world, and the new generation has to be exposed to its glory," Sri Krishna yaji said after formally consecrating eight deities of goddess Lakshmi in the newly constructed Ashtalakshmi temple on the premises of Vinayaka Panchayatana Alayam in PN Colony here on Thursday.
The deities of Lord Srimannarayana and goddess Sri Lakshmi were taken out in a procession before performing various rituals, which included 'Maha kumbha abhishekam'. In his discourse, Sri Krishna yaji advised people to spare some time for devotional activities so that children too would follow suit. Temple trustees — P. Jaganmohana Rao and B. Lakshmana Rao — offered special prayers to goddess Lakshmi. They hoped that devotees visiting Arasavalli and Srikurmam would also visit the temple in future.
