When almost all Union Ministers from BJP ruled out special status to Andhra Pradesh, AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu came with a shocker. Speaking to people Chandrababu Naidu at Nava Nirmana rally in Vijayawada said that pushed the people of AP to a corner without considering their due share in bifurcation. He said that they expect the government at the Centre to support them develop as much as others states do.
He said that the present Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who manages the funds has backed alot for gaining special category status for AP when state bifurcation bill was in Rajya Sabha. Sate's revenue deficit was calculated Rs 16,000 crore, while part of the central funds was due to AP was released.
He said AP is a two year old baby and government is taking steps to take the state forward. CM has selected Amaravati as the capital, as the city is centrally located. The event also had a pledge taken by all which said everyone will rededicate themselves to the state's development and strive to make AP the top state in the country in due course.
