Ind-Pak World Cup T20: Kin Of Pathankot Martyrs Protest

The protests from families of Pathankot martyrs against the India Pakistan ICC World Cup T20 match to be hosted in Dharamshala on March 19 grew louder on Tuesday, garnering mixed reactions across the country.

Families of martyrs have made their stance clear on the issue, saying they want the match to be banned. They began protest as the plea of martyr's kin was ignored and match was not cancelled nor destination of the match was changed.

A two-member Pakistani security team on Monday paid a visit to India and given green signal keeping in mind security parameters for the match. The visit was to review security arrangements as there was expectation of massive opposition by ex-servicemen, martyrs' families.

Meanwhile, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is firm that the match will go ahead in Dharamshala as planned while the International Cricket Council (ICC) has backed India to deliver on venues for the mega event.
