Union Petroleum Minister Visits Sri City

Union Minister of Petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan visited Sri City on Sunday. Tirupati MP V. Varaprasad accompanied the minister. On their arrival at the Sri City helipad, the minister and the MP were accorded a warm welcome by S.K. Samal, ITS, Development Commissioner, Sri City SEZ and Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director.

Samal briefed the minister on performance of different units in the SEZ, exports & imports details since inception, employment generated, investments made and highlighted the clean and green initiative in the SEZ and its implementation. Ravindra Sannareddy gave a brief presentation on the industrial progress and the infrastructural facilities at Sri City.

Impressed by the vastness, infrastructure and industry-friendly ambiance of Sri City, Dharmendra Pradhan appreciated the management for creating world class infrastructure. Complimenting that Sri City model is the best model in the country, the minister said, "Sri city has a strong ecosystem and its location is very ideal for world market. He told," I am happy to note that Sri city contributes to strengthen export centric business of the country."

Mentioning that Sri city is a happening place for national economy, Pradhan assured government's help to the units. Stating that the minister's visit is very valuable to them, Ravindra Sannareddy said, “We are grateful to the union minister for visiting Sri City. His impression and positive feedback are very encouraging and will be a great source of inspiration."

Dharmendra Pradhan went round the SEZ. He visited the production units of Rockworth, IMI/CCI, Everton Tea and Isuzu, and witnessed works in progress. He had an interactive meeting with the heads of the major industrial units.
