Tollywood's Hudhud Charity event, Memu Saitham was finally concluded and it is a super hit in terms of organizing as well as the charity. The event has managed to collect 11,51,56,116/- for the upliftment of the victims of Hudhud Cyclone.
The cheque was presented to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at the end of the event. But many opined that the organized should also have invited Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao for the event which would have brought both the states together and since Telugu film industry has to usher in both the Telugu States.
However we came to know that KCR is indeed invited for the event but he refused to come there. "We have invited Telangana CM too. But he do not want to come here and he said we have already done our part to the cause and will definitely come for some other event conducted by Tollywood", said a confidential source in the film chamber.
Off the record, they said KCR was not comfortable in sharing stage with Chandrababu Naidu and that too in an Andhra related event. However they say KCR was helpful directing the police department to issue all the necessary permissions and protection to the event.
