AP Government has finally agreed to pay a fitment of 43 percent on par with that of Telangana Government to its employees inspite of thousands of crores deficit revenue. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made an announcement in this regard a short while ago.
Soon after Telangana Government announced 43 percent pay revision based on the recommendation of 10th Pay Revision Commission (PRC), AP Employees sought a pay hike but Chandrababu Naidu turned down the demand straightaway citing the poor financial position of the state. However, Employees threatened to launch a state-wide protest to fulfill their genuine demand and got what they wanted in the end.
Fitment of 43 percent will result in aditional burden of Rs 9,825.17 crore on the State Exchequer. How will Naidu manage?
