Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu declares Amaravati will be made one among the 10 best capital cities in the World. At the launch of 'Amaravati Prabhuvu Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu' book written by noted journalist Pothuri Venkateswara Rao on Friday, Naidu told Amaravati used to be World's biggest commercial capital during the Satavahana rule. 'Venkatadri Naidu ruled Amaravati after Satavahana regime. Penning a book on him is really appreciable.
It was only after the bifurcation, People began discussing about the history of this region. Experts have been hired to design the structures that reflect our culture, tradition & history. Buddhism was spread all over the World from this region itself. That's why we are going to set up International Buddhist Research Centre here,' he says. On this occasion, Chandrababu Naidu revealed Eenadu Group chairman Ramoji Rao has suggested him to name AP Capital as 'Amaravati' by sending him the historical facts of the region.
