Controversial Godman Nityananda who claimed that he is not 'male' is reportedly proved wrong by medical tests.
Potency tests conducted on Swami Nityananda, aged 37, concluded. "there is no evidence to suggest that the person is incapable of performing a sexual act."
But the tests showed his levels of testosterone, as the sex hormone is known, were low: 12.50 ng/dl as against the normal 250 ng/dl (nanogram/ deci litre). The report adds: "There are no clinical signs to suggest that the person was involved in unnatural sexual acts." Also, the flaccid state penile doppler assessment showed "insignificant blood flow".
The findings of the tests conducted by Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Victoria Hospital, were submitted to chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Manjula, Ramanagaram, by the CID on Wednesday. The panel came out with an overall report on September 15. Nityananda underwent penile doppler study, an ultrasound scan and gave his samples for biochemistry and microbiology tests.
