Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao written a letter to Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu asking why he kept his mouth shut. At the time of bifurcation of AP, Venkaiah demanded special status for Andhra Pradesh, now he kept mum, KVP said. You people proposed amendments to the bill and later withdrawn saying that even if amendments are approved, the bill nature will be changed and should once again get approved by lok sabha, KVP mentioned in his letter.
It is unfortunate that people of AP does not know about the withdrawal, KVP said. Now they say because it is not in the bill special status cannot be given. They say there is no value for then Prime Ministers promise, and you being very close person to Prime Minister Modi, see that special status be awarded to AP, KVP requested Venkaiah in his letter.
