AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will the first to have his own roof-top helipad. Sources inform that the proposed secretariat complex at Velagapudi village in the capital region, will have a roof-top helipad. The helipad will be constructed in 2000 sq ft area in one of the six buildings in the temporary secretariat.
The helipad is mainly for the Chief Minister to avoid traffic jams and travel between his office and Gannavaram that is separated by a distance of 50 km. Shapoorji Pallonji and Larsen and Toubro (L&T) have taken up the work of the helipad that would cost around Rs 1 crore.
