Five members of a family in Kadapa who have been missing since a year and a half, have been found murdered, police said on Tuesday.
The investigation officers, under the supervision of Town Dy. Superintendent of Police C. Rajeswar Reddy, exhumed highly decomposed bodies of the victims buried on Zion English Medium High School premises, located at Mariyapuram in the town.
According to sources, five persons – K. Krupakar Isaac (30), his wife K. Mounika (30) and their children Angel (8), Rajaratnam (7) and Pavithra (6) – were missing for the last one and a half years. Krupakar’s father and founder chairman of Zion College of Physical Education and Zion English Medium High School, K. Rajaratnam Isaac, reportedly said that the family went abroad.
Mounika’s mother, Velpula Sujatha, lodged a complaint with Kadapa Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati in August this year, alleging that the family was missing and suspected some foul play. During investigation, police took Rajaratnam’s driver Ramanjaneya Reddy into custody who showed the place where the bodies of the family members were buried.
Police are trying to find out why Krupakar’s family was eliminated. Rajaratnam is absconding.
