National official public broadcasting unit Prasara Bharathi will soon be ready to launch a new regional channel for Andhra Pradesh state. It’s preparing plans to start its functions from Andhra Pradesh's designated capital, Vijayawada.
After bifurcation of state Andhra Pradesh has no regional channel, considering this Central broadcasting and information technology Ministry provided this facility. In a tweet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, who visited Andhra Pradesh, said the channel will be ready by the end of this month.
Sources confirming that public broadcaster Prasar Bharati will be establishing a new Doordarshan center at Vijayawada to facilitate state official communication requirements.
