The Prathyush Sinha Committee has refused to change the state cadre as had been sought by many officers and decided to leave the decision to the Department of Training and Personnel
The Committee has decided to leave the decision to DoPT to make changes in the provisional list and come out with the final allotment list.
Both the governments have now pinned their hopes on Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has to give his final nod before the final allotment is made. Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh K. Chandrasekhar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu are expected to take up the issue with Mr Modi after he returns from his Japan tour.
Mr Naidu has already written to Mr Modi urging the allotment of senior IAS officers P.V. Ramesh, J.S.V. Prasad and IPS officer Anuradha to the AP cadre as they were allotted to Telangana in the provisional allotment.
Similarly, the Telangana government is seeking the allotment of GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar who was allotted to AP, to Telangana.
