Solar Scam accused, Saritha Nair, made fresh allegations, this time against former Minister of State, Finance, and member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, S S Palanimanickam, and told Media here that he had collected Rs. 25 lakhs from her to solve her client's "Income Tax troubles," she said.
"I had been introduced to him and had met him on behalf of a client who had fallen afoul of the IT department. Palanimanickam demanded Rs. 1 crore to solve the problem, and I gave him Rs. 25 lakhs as an advance," she told Media.
After receiving the bribe, the minister also harassed her with phone calls during odd hours, she said.
Saritha Nair had appeared before the Coimbatore Judicial Magistrate VI in connection with a cheating case on Tuesday. She told reporters here that she had submitted complaints of fraud against 13 politicians who are alleged to have been involved in the Solar panel scam, through which several people had been duped to the tune of Rs. 70 lakhs.
She said that five of the politicians had also sexually exploited her, while they and the others also used her to commit financial fraud and launder money, she alleged.
She said that the former Kerala Chief Minister, Oomen Chandy was one of the men who sexually exploited her. Some of the other major politicians against whom she claimed to have submitted documentary evidence to the inquiry commission probing the solar panel scam were revealed to be Aryadan Muhammad, A P Anil Kumar, both former state ministers, as well as P C Vishunath and K C Venugopal.
Nair also said that she was penning an autobiography and was working on a number of films in both Malayalam and Tamil.
