Salman Khan Legal trouble continues On Arms Act Case

Legal troubles are still not over for superstar Salman Khan. On Thursday the actor will be appearing in Jodhpur court to record his statement in the Arms Act Case.
The Arms Act case against the actor is in connection to the blackbuck poaching incident which took place 18 years ago near Jodhpur while he was shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.

Last year, a major relief was rewarded to the actor; the Jodhpur court accepted his plea to produce four witnesses in the arms act case. Submission of files related to the sanction procedure for prosecution by district collector to the court had been ordered by the Rajasthan High Court.

Khan had moved a petition in the High Court seeking permission to make the documents pertaining to the prosecution sanction by the then district magistrate available to him.

In October 15, 1998 the forest department lodged a case against the actor under the Arms Act mentioning that the arms used by him during alleged poaching of two black bucks was illegal because the licences of the arms were expired and hence he has been using those arms illegally.

The incident took place at village Kankani near Jodhpur on the intervening night of October 1-2, 1998,
