Accusing each other just for the sake of winning confidence of voters has turned to new heights with contestants Rajendra Prasad and Jayasudha's supporters taking dig at past Presidents of Movie Artists Association.
We already know that Jayasudha's panel members are making fun of Nagababu for his investment of 75 lakhs on a land he brought for MAA, whose market price has now declined to 15 lakhs. Real-estate prices my see steep rise and fall, but the question remains the same as to what Nagababu has done to MAA in President's capacity. That sounds quite lethargic, because any president will do certain good deeds. Still, actor Kadhambari Kiran says he has to answer this particular question.
'During the tenure of Nagababu as President, he introduced this idea of collecting 1 lakh from a celebrity, and the interest money on the fixed deposit of that fund will be donated to a poor actor. The then hot celebs like Sivaji, Sridevi (Manjula's daughter) and many others have donated the money for this scheme. Also Nagababu introduced the system of sending bouquets to an artist's house on birthday. We've seen happiness in the eyes of many celebs because MAA remembered their birthday. There are so many other good things Nagababu has done, not just himself, but with approval of other MAA members', said Kadhambari. 'That makes clear what Nagababu has done'.
Anyway, polling is schedule for Sunday at Film Chamber premises and we will know result only after Court gives the green signal.
