The YSRCP, which had packed off most of their MLAs to Kerala and Goa to prevent poaching by TDP, is in for a shock as two of its MLAs Ashok Reddy from Giddaluru and P Rama Rao from Kandukur are likely to join TDP.
Both these MLAs are said to be holding meetings with their followers. In all probability, Ashok Reddy may join TDP in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday. Meanwhile, one of the defected legislators, Jaleel Khan, told media persons that they have more legislators willing to support the fourth candidate in the election. “We are in touch with some of the legislators from the YSRCP.
Jaganmohan Reddy cannot save his legislators and party with his dictatorial attitude," Jaleel Khan said. He said that YSRCP legislators were unhappy with Jagan fielding Vijay Sai Reddy for the RS seat.“Jaganmohan Reddy did not consult the legislators on the candidature of Vijay Sai Reddy and they are now ready to support an independent candidate," Jaleel Khan said.
