On the festive day of Vijayadasami, Telangana Chief Minister KCR inaugurated the 21 new districts during the auspicious Karkataka Lagnam muhurtham at 11.13 am in Siddipet this morning. With this, KCR turned his Bangaru Telangana into 31-carat diamond. KCR has discussed with his cabinet ministers and officials of various departments to ensure smooth functioning in the new districts, revenue divisions and mandals starting today.
While KCR inaugurated the District Collectorate office in Siddipet, Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly S Madhusudhana Chary, Chairman of the State Legislative Council Swamy Goud and ministers simultaneously inaugurated offices of Collectorates in the newly formed districts. New District Collectors and SPs finalised by KCR took charge soon after the inauguration of their respective departments. 'Order to serve' notices have been served to nearly 20,000 state government employees who are now posted in the new districts.
The newly formed districts are: Siddipet, Jangaon, Jayashankar, Jagtial, Warangal (Rural), Yadadri, Peddapally, Kamareddy, Medak, Mancheriyal, Vikarabad, Rajanna, Asifabad, Suryapet, Kothagudem, Nirmal, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubabad, Jogulamba and Medchal/Malkajgiri.
