The knee jerk decisions taken by the Telangana government is causing a major issue to many fields and this time the victim was the education field and its students. Well, about 174 technical and higher education colleges have been denied a renewal and this has led to the future of 3 lakh students in jeopardy.
This is the result of the GO number 36 issued by the Telangana government on July 31st. With the government declining to renew the licence of the colleges at the last moment, teachers didn't get salaries. As a result, they are quitting their jobs leaving the fate of engineering students in second, third and fourth years are in dire straits.
Looking at this, even placement companies will not come forward. On the other hand, investment of many crores happened for infrastructure. 2500 crores of investment on the colleges is the estimate. Without renewal, all that will go waste. Not doing the due inspections before the college starts is the main reason for this situation alleges the college managements. Due to this decision from the government, the students have ended up wasting one year of their precious education.
