TDP president and AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu's 45.5 cent land bearing survey no.s 18/7, 8 in Balaga rural in Srikakulam municipal corporation was auctioned recently and a bidder grabbed the land by shelling out Rs. 1.61 crores. Apparently, Chandrababu decided to discard his land to construct NTR Trust Bhavan with the money earned from the auction. Babu gave the Power of Attorney to Srikakulam's TDP president Gouthu Sirisha to conduct the auction.
A TDP follower named DK Naidu from Palasa quoted the highest price for purchase the land and the district TDP authorities have sent a sealed cover with documents to Nara Lokesh requesting his approval for the completion of registration formalities. Lokesh is currently on a foreign tour and he will take the decision next month after returning back to the capital. Rs. 5 lakhs advance was taken from the bidder. Apparently, the TDP leaders expected 2 crores from the auction but had to be settled for Rs. 1.61 crores.
