Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today visited Pedalabudu village, near the famous tourist spot Araku Valley which he had adopted and kickstarted the development of Gram Panchayat consisting of 22 villages in the tribal agency in this district.
The Chief Minister, during his first visit to Pedalabudu, two years ago, has announced that he will adopt the village. As part of the development activity, an amount of Rs 48.90 crore for CC and approach roads was sanctioned in 22 villages.
Mr Naidu also laid the foundation stone for Rs. 14.66 crore rural water supply scheme under the special development package in Araku and Paderu areas, Rs. 60 lakh worth works for amenities at the Pedalabudu shandy, Rs. 2 crore worth development works at Padmapuram garden and inaugurated buildings, a coffee house, ITDA staff quarters, PHC building at Pedabayalu, hostels and sub-centre of Chintapalli and Darakonda Ashram school.
