Vizag MP and BJP AP unit chief Haribabu on Sunday said that there was no truth in the allegation of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan that the Centre has ditched the people of AP by denying the special status to the state. Pawan at a public meeting in Kakinada had alleged that the NDA government took the people of AP for a ride by promising the special status.
Speaking to media persons in New Delhi, the BJP chief said that Centre would allocate industrial corridor to state which would be a boon to the youth of the state as it would provide employment to thousands of youngsters in the state. He said that the Centre would allocate sufficient funds for the development of the state, especially the construction of capital city.
BJP leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao on the occasion said that the Centre's financial aid would exceed the benefits of the special status. He said that AP would get Rs 2 lakh crore according to the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission.
