New Capital for Seemandhra in 30,000 Acres

Unfazed by the devastation caused with severe cyclonic storm Hudhud, Andhra Pradesh state government has swiftly initiated steps towards development and progress. As part of it, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is committed to build new capital for Seemandhra in a record time of 5-years with all global standards. After holding a meeting with Capital Advisory Committee members, Naidu decided to set up capital in around 30,000 acres near Vijayawada.

Chandrababu directed officials and committee members to collect lands through Land Pooling System (LPS) as said before. However, Naidu put the onus, of persuading land owners for the pooling, on district collectors, local MLAs and ministers. Government is also keen to shower incentives to land owners who voluntarily part of pooling system. Concession of Stamp duty, registration fee and exemption from water charges will be considered for those who are part of LPS.

Meanwhile, a new official will soon be appointed as LPS coordinator to monitor the pooling system such that no one would suffer any loss. However, Municipal Administration minister P. Narayana said that talks are going on and CM Chandrababu is yet to take final call on future course of action.
