Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana said plots would be distributed to farmers, who had offered lands under land pooling, in capital Amaravati between June 10 and 23. He said land acquisition of 1600 acres would be completed by November 30.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review meeting with CRDA officials at here on Friday. The meeting resolved to acquire 7,781 hectares of forest land abutting CRDA region. Disclosing the details of the meeting, the Minister said that the plots allotted to the farmers would be marked with identification of geo coordination.
He said the last date for submission of form 9.18 was extended till May 25 as per the appeal of farmers to give options on allotment of plots. The Minister said that Chief Minister had sanctioned Rs 10 crore for development of infrastructure in 29 seed capital villages.
He also said that the high power committee on capital development would meet at CRDA office to discuss the plan on Saturday. He said that the CRDA had submitted a schedule on capital development to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
On shifting of employees to the new secretariat, he said the process would commence in June. He assured the employees that chief secretary would resolve their issues if any arising out of the relocation. He said the new secretariat building ground and first floor would be completed by June 27 as per schedule.
AP govt amends Forest Act. In an attempt to curb red sanders smuggling, the State government amended the Andhra Pradesh Forest Act 1967 on Friday. The amendments proposed by the government to the Act had been approved by the President.
